The other area in the MX Master 3 that poses a problem is travel. That said if you only play games casually, and especially if you don't play anything that requires fast-twitch movement, the MX Master 3 is more than capable of pulling double duty here.

The MX Master 3's DPI setting maxes out at 4,000 DPI, which is a far cry from the 16,000 DPI settings you'll see on some of the best PC gaming mice you'll find. If you take PC gaming very seriously, you'll probably want to go for a dedicated gaming mouse. The primary concern that crops up is gaming. However, there are some niche use cases where you'll want to look elsewhere. For general office work and most of what you'll do on your PC, it's great. The Logitech MX Master 3 is, without hesitation, the best mouse you can buy, but that does come with some caveats that are worth noting. I much prefer this orientation, as I've had fewer instances of accidentally clicking the wrong button. Whereas they were stacked on the MX Master 2S, they're now in a more traditional horizontal alignment, reflecting how you'll be using them most: as forward and back buttons. The two buttons on the left side have also seen a revamp. There's also much less exposed bare plastic across the top and sides of the mouse, with Logitech trimming things down so that you get maximum coverage of the premium-feeling rubberized plastic. The angled, almost polygonal texture on the left side of the MX Master 2S has been replaced with one that feels and looks more like ripples. While you still have the thumb wing that extends out the left side of the MX Master 3, the mouse is slightly slimmer and more refined than its predecessor. The most notable change here is in design. The Logitech MX Master 3 keeps those great features in place while dialing things in to create an even tighter experience.

It also worked great with Logitech's dedicated software, which opened up the option to tweak DPI settings and turn on Flow, Logitechs name for the system that let you jump between different PCs as if they were extensions of one another. Hope this helps your problem. There are a few standout features that made the previous Logitech MX Master 2S such a fantastic mouse: ergonomics, its electromagnetic scroll wheel, and the ability to connect to multiple PCs.

Windows will automatically detect and update the correct drivers when it finds that you're using Bluetooth 4.0 chip (if you've upgraded from 3.0 chip).

This is a hardware thing, not a software thing. Or else you'll just have to end up using the usb receiver till you change your radio chip toĤ.0. So in a nutshell, i suggest checking your Dell's bluetooth radio chip if it's 4.0 or not. Other than that, the mice works fine including the buttons.

My only small problem is that Windows 7 detects another Bluetooth Peripheral device with a question mark and can't seem to find the driver for it. I've now kept my USB receiver and am now 1 USB port free. Using the USB unifying dongle with the mouse produces no problems and pairs instantly! I ended up buying a Bluetooth 4.0 receiver off eBay for my x220 and after installing it, the MX Master With the MX Master since it requires Bluetooth 4.0. I found out later that my x220 only has Bluetooth 3.0 radio chip installed hence it won't pair It sees but when attempting to pair, it won't proceed. I also had a problem with my newly purchased MX Master pairing it with my Lenovo Thinkpad x220.
